Dear developers,
As part of ongoing improvements to security and user experience, Veeqo is introducing two key requirements for all Appstore integrations. These changes will take full effect by end of September.
1. OAuth2 Required for All Apps
Veeqo is moving away from API key-based authentication. All apps listed on the Appstore must use OAuth2 for managing API access. OAuth2 provides:
- A more secure and scalable authentication method
- Fine-grained, revocable access control for users
- Alignment with industry standards and partner platforms
2. Direct App Installation Link
Apps must now direct users to the OAuth install/authorization screen, not to a general marketing or homepage. This ensures:
- A consistent and streamlined installation experience
- Higher conversion and less confusion for merchants
- Compliance with upcoming Appstore design guidelines
If you haven’t already begun this transition, please prioritize the updates. For support with client registration, redirect URIs, or install flow best practices, reach out to Veeqo Support. Here is the initial Oauth2 setup with veeqo:Getting Started | Developers
Thank you for helping us build a secure and merchant-friendly platform.
